Sokolov announced the production of a new line of compact-class cars called Lada Iskra during SPIEF-2023. The company plans to produce a family of cars in three variations – a sedan, station wagon and a cross version. The machines will be based on the XJO platform, which is part of the global CMF-B platform. According to Sokolov, the novelty will belong to segment B and will be slightly larger in size than the current Lada Granta, and the price positioning will be between Granta and Vesta. AvtoVAZ is investing 37 billion rubles in the development of the Lada Iskra.
