“Today AvtoVAZ’s stocks in the warehouse of finished products and dealer stocks are about 32-33 thousand cars. According to Sokolov, despite the fact that “AvtoVAZ» restrains its pricing policy and tries to keep the growth of car prices within the limits of inflation, the rising exchange rate exerts significant pressure on pricing. He explained this influence by the fact that some of the components are purchased abroad. “If the exchange rate continues to rise, then no other measures other than price increases will hold back this process,” Sokolov said.

On June 2, Sokolov, on the sidelines of the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia conference, announced that “AvtoVAZ» sold 23,904 vehicles in May, four times the results of May 2022. On a monthly basis, sales decreased by 13%.
