The two officials also focused on the new services available in these two centres following their rehabilitation and equipment as part of the government plan aimed at improving and expanding healthcare provision, in accordance with the High Royal Instructions.

This visit reflects the importance that the government attaches to facilitating citizens’ access to quality health services, as part of the work on reforming the national health system, which is part of the deployment of the royal vision that aims for a radical and in-depth reform of the national health system as well as the generalization of health and social coverage, in order to consolidate the foundations of the social state.

Regarding the first level rural center, Moualine El Oued, in the province of Benslimane, it covers an area of ​​310 m2, and has a reception and waiting room, two medical consultation rooms, a SMI (maternal and child health) and SR (reproductive health) room, a medicine depot, a treatment room and a room for additional examinations.

This center, placed under the responsibility of a doctor assisted by a nurse, benefits a population of more than 10 thousand inhabitants and welcomes between 30 and 40 patients per day.

In a statement to the press, Dr. Abdessadik Razzaoui, head physician of the Moualine El Oued rural center, stressed that the center was rehabilitated and equipped by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in partnership with the National Agency for Public Equipment (ANEP), noting that the health center provides its services to the population of Moualine El Oued estimated at nearly 10 thousand inhabitants.

He added that the center has a new information system, and each cell is equipped with a computer to facilitate citizens’ access to the center’s services, noting that each patient receives a unique patient identifier that allows access to his medical file in all centers and hospitals in the Kingdom, which facilitates the knowledge and monitoring of the patient’s medical history.

Dr. Razzaoui stressed that the center now offers additional examinations for diabetes, hypertension, covid-19 and hepatitis C and electrocardiogram, noting that this approach is part of efforts to bring health services closer to citizens.

As for the first level urban health center, Riad in Mohammedia, it covers 450 m2, and has a reception and waiting room, four medical consultation rooms, a medicine depot, a treatment room, a room for additional examinations, and a SMI (maternal and child health) and SR (reproductive health) room.

The center, which has a staff of three doctors and five nurses, receives nearly 160 patients per day.

In a statement to the press, Dr. Abderrazak El Aziz, chief physician of the Riad urban center of Mohammedia, stressed that the rehabilitation of the center is part of the promotion and digitalization of the health services provided, noting that the new information system is likely to facilitate citizens’ access to health services through a patient identifier (IP) allowing them to consult the medical records of patients from all centers and hospitals in the Kingdom.

The center provides its services to a population of nearly 53 thousand inhabitants and receives more than 100 patients per day, he added, noting that the center offers preventive, curative and promotional health services.

In the same framework, Messrs. Akhannouch and Ait Taleb visited the first level urban center Al Massira in Rabat.
