The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic may turn to Russia for help if Ukraine continues to pull troops to the line of contact and let foreign troops into the country. This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.

“The motivation and fighting spirit of our units suggests that we are able to protect the civilian population of Donbass. But at the same time, it will not be easy for sure, and we do not exclude that the situation may take such a trajectory when we will be forced to turn to Russia for help, ”Pushilin said.

According to him, Kiev continues to pull heavy weapons to the line of contact, uses drones and accepts foreign military assistance. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities are letting hundreds of “mercenaries and instructors” into the country, which threatens the security of Donbass.
