The indexation of insurance pensions in 2022 will be 5.9%, said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia Anton Kotyakov. According to him, the average annual old-age pension of a non-working pensioner will be 18,521 rubles next year, 19,477 in 2023, and 20,469 in 2024.
“In accordance with the current legislation, the indexation of the insurance old-age pension for non-working pensioners is carried out at a level higher than the annual inflation. According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Economic Development, the annual inflation will be 5.8%. Taking this into account, the indexation planned in 2022 remains in the parameters of the three-year budget – at the level of 5.9%, ”the minister said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Insurance pensions are indexed annually from January 1st. In 2021, the average size of insurance pensions is RUB 16,789. This year, pensions have been indexed by 6.3%.
Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development downgraded the inflation forecast for 2021 to 5.8% from 5% indexed in July.
