Payments for medical workers who will work on New Year’s weekend will be carried out at a double rate, said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov on the air of the Russia-1 TV channel.
“The calculation of payments for each medical employee who will work on weekends will be at a double rate,” he said.
In turn, the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov said that money would be allocated for this. “The decision has been made, we will find the money,” Siluanov said.
Putin instructed to double payments to doctors for the fight against COVID-19 on holidays
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to double payments to doctors who will help patients with coronavirus on New Year’s holidays. He recalled that this year, doctors who worked with COVID-patients on holidays received a double allowance.
“I would ask the government to do the same on New Year’s holidays in 2022,” Putin said. Siluanov promised that more than 8 billion rubles would be allocated for these purposes.
