The head of the Mossad against the Biden administration: “The new nuclear agreement – a complete lie”

by time news

The head of the Mossad, Dedi Barnea, warns in closed conversations about the dangers inherent in the superpowers returning to the nuclear agreement with Iran. According to the report inyou, in a meeting yesterday (Wednesday) with Prime Minister Yair Lapid warned Barnea that the agreement will allow the Iranians to reach very significant capabilities. According to him, following the lifting of sanctions, hundreds of billions of dollars will flow to Iran, with some of the money being used to strengthen the terrorist organizations surrounding Israel, including Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad. In addition, the Iranians will accelerate the vision of the “Islamic Crescent” and strengthen the Houthi rebels in Yemen and the pro-Iranian militias.

The head of the Mossad reinforced the words of the former prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the press conference held yesterday on the subject, in which he said that the agreement that the US intends to sign with Iran is worse than the previous nuclear agreement. According to Barnea, in 2015 it was not possible to assess Iran’s military potential , while in 2018 it was already clear to everyone that it was moving towards the development of nuclear weapons for military purposes: “We are making a copy of the previous agreement, and the only thing left since then is the text of the agreement. Everything else has changed. The world has changed. The Iranians have developed their own centrifuges. The threats have changed. Technology has changed. But the agreement is the same as in 2015.”

Barnea added in various briefings that the emerging agreement constitutes a “strategic disaster” and stated that it will not bind Israel. He clarified that his organization continues its efforts to prevent nuclear weapons from Iran.

Earlier it was reported that Lapid had an intelligence briefing today with the head of the Mossad. The Prime Minister’s Office stated that “the briefing dealt with an update on the current security issues on the agenda, primarily the nuclear agreement with Iran. The head of the Mossad reviewed the intelligence situation and the risks involved in returning to the nuclear agreement.”
