The Minister of Transport Georgi Gvozdeikov defined as speculation the words of the head of state Rumen Radev, that until recently the head of the State Aviation Operator Gen. Zlatko Zlatev was replaced due to irregularities in the governmental “Falcon”. The reason for his removal is systemic administrative violations.
Gvozdeikov pointed out that the suspended gen. Zlatko Zlatev flew on the government plane without notifying him. He also commented on the president’s words that the director of the unit must be a pilot – which the current one is not, writes BNT.
“The position of General Director of the State Aviation Operator is not a pilot. It is an administrative position with functions of organizational activity – he must organize processes, not fly an airplane. He allowed himself, without my knowledge, to board as a pilot of the government plane and go to some country in the Arab world. I ask you, if something bad happens, there are many, very serious violations. This does not happen once this is the same person who flies while working for private companies, about which I have made remarks,” the minister pointed out.
