The declaration of the House of “El Hijo del Ahuizote” was issued based on the new Cultural, Natural and Biocultural Heritage Law of Mexico City and adds to the declaration of historical monument that the property already had, explained the secretary of Urban Development and Housing (Seduvi), Inti Muñoz Santini.

The owner of Sit down He recalled that between 2008 and 2012, 4 million pesos were invested to recover the property from abandonment, led by the director of the House, Diego Flores Magónand an agreement was reached to allow this historic space and a relocated merchant plaza on the ground floor to coexist.
