The initiative of the Institute of Southern Culture. Little families: “A recognition of an act of love”

The Institute of Southern Culture is organizing the first edition of the “The heart of women” award which will be dedicated to Natalia Dimitrova Bellova, the fifty-seven-year-old Bulgarian who with extraordinary courage sacrificed her life to help the two elderly spouses she had been taking care of for some time . The consul of Bulgaria in Naples, the lawyer Gennaro Famiglietti, president of the Southern Cultural Institute and national coordinator Fenco (National Federation of Diplomats and Foreign Consuls of Italy), intends to promote with this initiative a due recognition to all women who with commitment and courage are distinguished daily in every field, from the workplace to the social one, without ever lacking their fundamental support within the family.

«This tragic story – says Famiglietti – is at the same time an act of love and a great testimony of generosity. A gesture that demonstrates how large women’s hearts can be and capable of facing even the most serious dangers without fear. It therefore seemed right and right to assign recognition to the memory of Mrs. Bellova and to give life in her memory to an initiative that every year can underline the strength and generosity that characterize every woman ».
