They are part of the long history of English boxing, and, more recently, that of MMA. In the shadow of the fighter, their role is to preserve his health, before, during and after his performance. A kind of emergency doctor, they are always ready to draw their equipment when the need arises between two rounds. One of their qualities is to know how to remain discreet and yet they can contribute greatly to victory. These are the healers, the “cutmen” as they are called in the pugilistic world.
