The High Court this morning (Friday) ordered the Legal Adviser to the Government, Waves in Harv-MiaraPrime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuthe 37th government of Israel and the designated minister, My uncle Amsalamto respond by March 12, 2023, to the petition submitted by the Movement for the Quality of Government.
Last night, the movement for the quality of government, headed by attorney Dr. Eliad Sharga, filed a petition. To the High Court with a request, in order for it to determine that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is in violation of the conflict of interest agreement drawn up for him, and that he must go to prison.
On behalf of Shraga, the chairman of the movement, it was said: “Netanyahu is not qualified to run the country; He has proven that he is unable to separate his legal affairs from the administration of the state and is trying to collapse the democratic structure of the State of Israel, even at the cost of the destruction of the Third Temple. We are once again calling on everyone who holds Israeli democracy dear to their hearts and everyone who, like us, fears that the vision of our ancestors is going down the drain, to come and demonstrate with us on Monday in front of the Knesset and stop the government of destruction.”
The movement claimed in its petition that: “Even though the honorable court held in the past – and in light of Netanyahu’s explicit commitment that it is possible to imagine a situation in which a criminal accused serves as prime minister, the painful reality came and slapped us in the face, when we came to see how the accused prime minister is leading these days A predatory and swift course of fatal damage to the legal system and the law enforcement systems in Israel.”
