In a speech for the occasion, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, indicated that the Moroccan University is undergoing a transformation to the extent that the university curriculum is punctuated by units on culture and art, in addition to parallel activities dedicated to art in all its forms.
He stressed, during this ceremony, marked in particular by the presence of the Advisor to His Majesty the King, Mr. André Azoulay, that higher education establishments aim to establish themselves as a space offering students the opportunity to reveal their creative talents in all fields, citing in this sense the example of ISADAC in the training of its students.
The Secretary General of the Department of Culture at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Samira El Malizi, for her part, noted that the winners of this ISADAC promotion will give a qualitative boost to the theatrical, artistic and cultural scene in the Kingdom, specifying that ISADAC has “established a cultural practice based on thoughtful academic training, drawing its components from the national artistic heritage and theatrical practice in its international dimensions.”
She highlighted the place enjoyed by culture, arts and human capital within the framework of the Enlightened Vision of HM King Mohammed VI, stressing the special attention paid to ISADAC by the ministry, given the importance of academic and artistic training for future generations.
ISADAC Director Latifa Ahrar, for her part, stressed that the Institute combines research, training, professionalism and the daily practice of art and artistic creation, noting that the Institute is currently working on the publication of the scientific journal “Theatrical Visions”.
This celebration of the promotion of ISADAC is not only a celebration of the academic journey, but an enrichment of the national artistic market with young artistic potential “capable of transposing dreams and beauty on stage”.
The 33rd ISADAC promotion includes 23 winners spread across the “staging” (12), “scenography” (4) and “artistic animation” (7) branches.
In addition to the award ceremony for the winners of the first, second and third years of ISADAC, this ceremony was marked by the presentation of an adaptation of the play “Romeo and Juliet”, under the direction of the playwright Massoud Bouhssine and the participation of students from the fourth and fifth years of ISADAC.
