The Histadrut will allocate dozens of rooms for the benefit of refugees from Ukraine

Last night, the chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David, instructed the Ministry of Absorption to make dozens of rooms available at the Mishan network and the Beit Berl Leadership Institute for the absorption of refugees arriving in Israel from Ukraine. The professional staff of the Histadrut will be in contact with the Ministry of the Interior and Absorption.

This decision was made shortly after Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked ordered the transfer of those entering the country from Ukraine to the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. Earlier this week, an outline was formulated for the absorption of 25,000 Ukrainian refugees in Israel.

“The shameful pictures we saw tonight at Ben Gurion Airport do not respect anyone,” said Bar-David. “I welcome the decision of the Minister of the Interior, but at the same time all parties must join forces, so that we do not see more painful pictures in the near future. I estimate that more refugees will arrive in the coming days, so I ordered every vacant room “The facilities are available to refugees who will come to Israel in an attempt to give a little warmth and humanity to the families who fled their homes,” he added.
