This Monday, April 17, after the Holy Week and Easter holiday period, the more than 561 thousand students from the eight thousand schools, as well as the teachers, managers and administrators, announced the head of the Secretariat of Education of the State Government (SEGE), Juan Carlos Torres Cedillo, complying with the official school calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
He explained that, in this last period, before the end of the 2022-2023 school year, addiction prevention strategies will begin, a program headed by the Federal Government, “Strategy in the Classroom: if you take drugs, you get hurt” and the one that coordinates the “Cuidarse Está Cool” Health Services, which seeks to impact healthy habits in girls, boys and adolescents so that they become aware of the negative impact it causes on their bodies as well as on their integral development.
“The Government of Change headed by State President Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, within his comprehensive security development plan, has strengthened all actions and following the instructions of the Federal Government headed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador so that children and adolescents from San Luis Potosí in a future are citizens who respond to the growth and sustainable development that is lived in San Luis Potosí”, pointed out Torres Cedillo.
He explained that as of Monday both strategies will start in basic education with special attention at the secondary level, with regard to state actions, in this first stage 243 public and private schools were designated, of which 173 are from the SEGE and 70 of the Regular State Educational System (SEER), in which the “Answer with the Net” survey will be applied to the students, in addition to the fact that the teachers will be offered the “First psychological help in managing of emergencies” and training will be provided via Zoom.
