The 2024 Honda CBR 1000 RR-R will hit the market next spring accompanied by its inseparable SP versionan acronym that always defines the most equipped and fastest Fireblade and which will now also be offered in an exclusive and limited Carbon edition.

The CBR 1000 RR-RR will receive its most extensive renovation in 2024 since its presentation four years ago. Overall, the bike looks identical to the current version, but hidden inside are numerous modifications that HRC engineers have carefully chosen to make the Fireblade. a more effective bike on the track, and consequently, faster in WorldSBK.

The engine retains the performance of the previous version -217 hp (160kW) at 14,000 rpm-, but inside the valve adjustment, the diameter of the intake valves have been modified (now 32.5 mm and lighter ), the flow of gases has been optimized and, in general, various actions have been carried out in order to increase the force that reaches the rear wheel in each gear.

The electronic throttle of the Fireblade 2024 It now has two engines (previously one), and this allows the motorcycle’s electronics to act independently on cylinders 1 and 2 (first engine) and cylinders 3 and 4 (second engine), which in practice translates into greater gas dosage, especially at low revs, thus avoiding the interference of traction control.

Also new to the Fireblade 2024 are the Bosch six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)an aluminum chassis that presents changes in the balance of its rigidity (now without internal welds and almost a kilo lighter) and a rear swingarm that derives directly from the one originally used by Honda in the RC213V-S, the street MotoGP launched on the market in 2015, adjusted to give more grip to the rear tire.

The fuel tank cover has been placed in a lower position, reducing the frontal area with the pilot in an inclined position. It has been reshaped to improve rider knee grip and fuel capacity has been increased by an additional 0.4 liters to 16.5 liters. The instrumentation has also improved, now made up of a 5-inch full-color, high-resolution TFT screen.

Focusing exclusively on the 2024 SP version, the Fireblade will be the first production motorcycle to use the new Öhlins electronic suspension, named Smart Electronic Control (SE-C3.0), employing a third-generation NPX (SV) 43mm upside-down fork and TTX36 (SV) rear shock, which now use internal spool solenoids.

According to Honda, this suspension team is capable of offering the same response as a competition fork, thanks above all to the settings managed through the Öhlins Object Based Tuning (OBTi) interface with countless adjustments available to the pilot, who will also be able to access a digital spring preload adjustment guide through the instrument panel as a new feature .

The Fireblade SP 2024 also raises the level of its braking by having the new Brembo Stylema R tongs four-piston system and Brembo brake master cylinder/lever, while the cornering ABS now includes a RACE mode that allows the rear ABS to be disconnected.

The CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade SP 2024 will also hit the market in an elegant variant Carbon Edition with an exclusive Morion Black Matte Pearl paint. It will come equipped with front fender, keel, mid fairing, spoilers, front cover and fender cover, all in carbon fiber to save a kilo of weight in total, very discreet to maximize its appeal.

This Fireblade SP 2024 Carbon Edition will be limited to only 30 unitsand each of them will incorporate a commemorative plaque on the airbox lid.
