The House of Councillors unanimously approves a bill to dissolve the National League for the Fight against Cardiovascular Diseases
Rabat – The House of Advisors unanimously approved, on Tuesday, bill No. 32.24 on the dissolution of the National League for the Fight against Cardiovascular Diseases.
This bill is part of the implementation of the High Royal Directives aimed at the dissolution and liquidation of the National League for the Fight against Cardiovascular Diseases and the cessation of all its health services and other activities in the fight against cardiovascular diseases, while ensuring the proper execution of this decision and the preservation of all the achievements, stressed the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb who presented the bill.
This text is also part of a general context of establishing a health system that meets the aspirations of citizens in terms of facilitating access to health services and improving their quality and distribution in a fair and equitable manner, which makes it possible to reduce spatial and social disparities and to undertake an overhaul of the governance of this system in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 06.22 relating to the national health system, he continued.
Under the provisions of this bill, explained Mr. Ait Taleb, all real estate and furniture belonging to the League will be transferred, respectively to the full ownership of the State and the Ibn Sina University Hospital Center (CHU) without compensation, specifying that the League’s staff will also be redeployed, depending on each case, to State services or to the Ibn Sina University Hospital Center while ensuring the preservation of all their social rights, in particular those related to pensions and basic compulsory health insurance.
The bill also provides for the creation of a commission by order of the Head of Government which will be in charge of implementing the dissolution and liquidation operations, the minister said.
