The draft agenda for this meeting dealt with “approving the agenda and listening to a presentation by the representative of the Arab Geopolitical Group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union on the work of the Arab Geopolitical Group since the 148th General Assembly.”
It was also agreed “to include an emergency item on Palestine on the agenda of the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and to agree on the candidates of the Arab Group for vacant positions in the permanent or subcommittees of the Union, and to take a unified and harmonious position that supports the candidate’s access to vacant positions in the elections of the Association of Secretaries-General of National Parliaments.” During the meeting that will be held in Geneva in conjunction with the 149th General Assembly.”
