/ The leadership of the Yemeni armed forces affiliated with the Houthis announced, this evening, Wednesday, the targeting of four American and Israeli ships, one of them a military ship, in the Gulf of Aden.

The command said in a statement reported by the Russian “RT Arabia” website, that it targeted the Israeli ships “MSC Darwin” and “MSC GINA”, and the American ship “MAERSK YORKTOWN” with a number of suitable naval missiles and drones.

It added that it targeted an American warship in the Gulf of Aden with a number of drones.

She stressed in her statement that she “continues to perform her religious, moral and humanitarian duty towards the oppressed Palestinian people and in defense of Yemen.”

The armed forces stressed “that their operations in the Red and Arabian Seas and in the Indian Ocean will continue until the aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted,” according to the text of the statement.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have continued their attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, targeting “Israeli ships associated with Israel or those heading to it,” in order to “support the Palestinian people in Gaza.”

In response, the United States and its allies formed a military force to deal with the Houthi strikes, as American and British aircraft launched several strikes on various areas in Yemen, while the American army carried out missions independently of any naval coalition in the region.
