In his lawsuit, Pitt claimed Jolie “did nothing to drive (the) growth” of the business, which he turned into a “multi-million dollar international success story.” Jolie’s counterclaim disputes this, saying “Pitt refused to grant Jolie or Noble equal access to Chateau Miraval records or an equal voice in management,” effectively “holding the most significant portion of her net worth hostage.” Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appeared before the court in Los Angeles and waited for the judge’s decision regarding the dispute that developed between the two regarding a vineyard that the two managed together until the divorce.

Only last July the court ruled on Pete’s claim to Jolie. As you may recall last July, it was published in Sky News that Brad Pitt accused his ex-wife Angelina Jolie of selling her share in the winery they owned as a partnership to a Russian oligarch, the owner of the “Stoli” beverage company, thus trying to “harm” the business in which Pitt invested a lot of time and money. According to his claims, this sale led to a “hostile” takeover of the wine business and a blatant and aggressive intervention by the new and unwanted partner in the business.

According to Pitt’s lawyers, under his ownership the business grew into an “international success story worth millions of dollars”, while Jolie did not contribute anything to the success and did not know Pitt about her intention to sell her share.
