Strauss Zelink, CEO of the game company Take-Two, was asked during a conversation with investors held this week whether the huge leak of materials from the action game Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to affect the development of the game. His unequivocal answer was – in no way.

“It was really a terrible case and we take such things very seriously,” said the CEO during the conversation. “We have no evidence that any materials were taken… I am sure that the leak will not have any effect on the development process.” Later in his speech, Strauss stated that following the incident, the company is now more careful than ever in matters of information security in order to prevent further hacks in the future. Similar things were already published by the development company Rockstar Games (Rockstar Games) a few days after the leak.

As you may remember, last September dozens of videos were suddenly published online that revealed the action game Grand Theft Auto 6 for the first time, although in an early version from which it is difficult to judge the quality of the final game. The leak provided confirmation to a number of rumors that had previously appeared, including a new main character named Lucia, and the location of the game in the fictional city of Vice City.

GTA 6 does not have an official release date, and it is expected that at least another year will pass before it hits store shelves.
