Zero Project is an international social enterprise, sponsored by the Austrian ESSL Foundation, whose goal is to bring about a world with zero barriers for people with disabilities. By building an international social network of organizations that promote services for people with disabilities, in which 4,000 professionals in the field of disabilities from 170 countries participate, the project enables mutual learning and the distribution of advanced projects. Every year, a professional committee selects about 70 policy actions and innovative service practices that promote people with disabilities.

This is the third year that the Anush association has won the prestigious award. As part of the conference, which will be held this year between February 23-25, 2023 at the UN building in Vienna, the winning practices for exceptional work in their field will be presented, while this year it will deal with the topic of independent living in the community, political participation and assistive technologies.

Meuf’s program for employment and entrepreneurship of the Anush association, the winner in the independent living in the community category, is a program to promote entrepreneurship and business management for mentally challenged people and is given to those entitled to a rehabilitation basket on behalf of the Ministry of Health. The program includes business support under the guidance of business coaches from the free market, and rehabilitation support with a professional who provides mental support and tools that help the contestant achieve his business goals and integrate into his personal rehabilitation process. In addition, the program offers a variety of professional consulting services required for entrepreneurs in the process of setting up a business such as an accountant, lawyer, financial consulting, marketing consulting in digital media, business courses and a peer group.

The uniqueness of the Ma’uf program allowed Anush to also be accepted into the unique IMPACT TRANSFER accelerator program of ASHOKA EUROPE, which is designed to promote about 15 particularly prominent projects that can be distributed and expand beyond their country. Human representatives are in the process together with representatives from organizations around the world to think about a flight model and its distribution to the world.

Dr. Hela Hadas, CEO of the Anush Association: “The Ma’uf employment and entrepreneurship program is one of the flagship programs of the Anush Association. We are proud and excited about winning the Zero Project award. The Ma’uf program was established out of the belief that those with a strong heart are able to lead and be part of the business arena And the tremendous contribution of the program in the integration and development of mentally challenged people in the business world proves that with the right guidance and support, the sky is the limit.”
