In collaboration with Hungarian photographers, Huawei presents the lives of the ordinary heroes of the night with a special series of mobile photos. The pictures taken with the Huawei P60 Pro smartphone give an exclusive insight into the lives of representatives of three professions – search and rescuers, firefighters, civil guards – who work at night for the safety and tranquility of others, standing by even when the majority spend their time resting and sleeping. Most of the people in the pictures work on a voluntary basis, taking on the physical or mental burdens associated with work without compensation. Thanks to Huawei’s Heroes of the Night campaign – through images taken at night and in low light conditions – a wide audience can get a glimpse of the challenges, difficulties and joys of self-sacrificing work.

Professional and physical fitness, teamwork and situation management skills are critical.
Firefighters’ gear can weigh up to 70 kg – most of which is the 30 kg special protective clothing. Carrying and using the equipment requires a lot of physical strength and endurance, so they do regular workouts and strength training to maintain their strength and stamina.
In the case of a basement fire, getting down is the most difficult and critical task. On the way down, temperatures can be extra high, up to 6-800 degrees, and visibility is limited due to the density of smoke and flames. In the basement, they usually walk on their knees or crawl to minimize the possibility of injury. The hose pulled by the firefighters serves as a reference point.
One of the most difficult situations is when children are encountered during rescue. In case of more serious trauma, the firefighters process the experiences together and with the help of a psychologist. Therefore, mental support and community cohesion are extremely important in this profession.
