The police recovered the hanging body of a youth named Tawheed (21) in Noakhali’s Kabirhat. The body was recovered from North Sundalpool village on Tuesday (March 28) morning.
Family members claim that he committed suicide by hanging his wife despite repeated attempts to bring her from her father’s house.
The deceased Tawhid Sundalpur Union North Sundalpur village Md. Son of Mohiuddin Prakash Khokon. He was a mason by profession. His body was handed over to the family after post-mortem in the afternoon.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kabirhat Police Station. Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter and said that the body was recovered and sent to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital for autopsy. The investigation into the wrongful death case filed by his father is on.

He said, 9 months ago Tawheed married Mumtaz Begum (19), daughter of deceased Bachchu Mia of Parshurampur village in Kabirhat. She is now three months pregnant. He stays at his father’s house most of the time. A social arbitration meeting has also been held on this. Tawheed was frustrated that he could not bring him home despite repeated attempts.
On Monday (March 27) he went to sleep in his room after Tarawi prayer. Later in the morning Sahari was found hanging in his room after not getting any response when called for food.
