Paravur: A man has been remanded in custody for allegedly disconnecting a surveillance camera in his wife’s room and hitting her on the head with a hammer. Vettumthara Rajesh (42) of Parayakkad, Chittatukara panchayath was remanded.

After filing for divorce, the couple set up surveillance cameras in separate rooms in the same house. The incident took place on the 11th. He disconnected the surveillance camera from his wife Zuma’s room.

Following the altercation, Rajesh hit her on the head with a hammer. The injured Zuma himself was admitted to Chalaka Medical College and later went into hiding.
