The Ibex saves the session thanks to the push of Telefónica

Session from less to more for the Ibex-35 which, finally, advanced 0.02% insufficient to recover 9,300 points. Wall Street’s bullish open helped contain jitters over evidence that the wounds from the March banking crisis are not yet fully healed.

This time, it was the Microsoft and Alphabet accounts that encouraged purchases, beating market expectations in terms of profit and revenue in the first quarter of the year. Their titles rose 7% and 2%, respectively, on Wall Street at the close of the European stock markets.

In the national parquet, the leading role went to Iberdrola, which closed the session practically flat despite announcing a profit increase of 40%.

Another of the outstanding values ​​was, once again, Banco Santander, which after losing almost 6% of its price on Tuesday after presenting results, fell another 1%, with its price at 3.29 euros per share. However, the lower part of the table was led by Mapfre (-2%), Solaria (-1.55%), Aena (-1.40%), Meliá (-1.37%) and Grifols (-1 .29%).

Had it not been for the rise in Telefónica, the Ibex-35 would have closed the session negative. The operator rallied more than 2% at the close to recover the 4 euros per share. Colonial (+1.71%), ArcelorMittal (+1.46%), Logista (+1.06%) and Repsol (+0.96%) followed the value in the increases.
