A special discussion chaired by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be held tomorrow (Friday) to examine the 21st Amendment to the Constitution, which would reduce the powers of the head of state.
The meeting, to be held at the Prime Minister’s Office, is expected to be attended by all party leaders representing parliament.
The draft of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution was submitted to the Cabinet last Monday.
In the meantime, it was decided to seek the views and suggestions of all political parties.
