Puducherry Deputy Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Speaker Selvam visited the construction of this martyr wall. After this, Governor Tamilisai installed the name plaque of freedom fighter Velu Nachiyar on the martyr wall.

Players from 186 countries of the world are gathering in the festival which can be held with national spirit. While these are all happy things, I have a qualm.
To all the people of the world “Who do you want to become the prime minister?” If I ask them, they say that Narendra Modi should become the Prime Minister. This point has been proved by survey itself. Thus the photograph of Prime Minister Modi, which is a symbol of our country, is not placed anywhere in the places where the Chess Olympiad is held. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin should take note of this. I request that Modi’s picture should be displayed everywhere.”
