Jaipur : A two-day workshop of state level police officers began on Thursday in the capital Jaipur. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Addressing the police officers, he said that the state police has to establish trust among the people. The Chief Minister stressed the need to improve the police system. He said that whoever commits a crime should be punished so that crime can be curbed.
CM said, fix the police system of the state
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal was speaking after inaugurating a workshop organised for Rajasthan’s state level police officers. During this, the Chief Minister stressed the need to improve the police system. He said that such work must be done to ensure that people’s trust in the police is established. There are many misconceptions about the police in society, which need to be broken to improve the image of the police. He said that I am confident that serious issues of law and order in Rajasthan will be discussed in this two-day workshop.
Chief Minister stressed on curbing cyber crime
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has expressed deep concern over the increasing cyber crime in Rajasthan. He said that it is necessary to stop cases like cyber crime. He said that the police should launch a campaign to stop cyber crime. The CM said that efforts will have to be made to reduce cyber crime so that these criminals get severe punishment. He said that people keep falling prey to the greed of buying cheap goods despite warnings. In such cases, strict action should also be taken against those who buy cheap goods, so that such incidents can be stopped.
Emphasis on increasing the number of women police personnel. The Chief Minister has also stressed on increasing the number of women police personnel in the workshop. He said that the number of women police personnel should be increased to prevent crimes against women. He also assured new recruitment in the police. He also said that the police officers and jawans who do good work should be respected. For this, he has spoken to the DGP and given instructions.
Policing map will be prepared in the two day workshop. This workshop has started in the capital Jaipur on 29th and 30th August with the top police officers of the state to discuss concerns related to crime control, law and order, and public safety in the state. A roadmap for better policing will be prepared after deliberation in the State Level Police Officers Conference being organised from Thursday in Rajasthan International Centre (RIC). Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, Chief Secretary of the state Sudhansh Pant, DGP UR Sahu and Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Anand Kumar along with senior administrative and police officers of the state were present in the inaugural session.
