In recent hours, the entire network has been going crazy over the picture of Pope Francis wearing a puffer coat – a big, puffy white coat that mainly characterizes the wardrobes of the biggest stars in the country. The Pope’s picture has been breaking the Internet in the last few hours, with thousands of tweets on Twitter and millions of views, and after a thorough investigation – we have the full explanation.
It all started a little over a day ago, when the photo of the Pope in a puffer jacket went up on reddit. In the photo you can see Francis walking through the streets of the Vatican with a large white puffer coat. The cross necklace he always wore dangled outside of the trendy coat, and the rest of his look was as everyday: with a felt headband and square glasses on the tip of his nose. The photo reached Twitter within minutes and became extremely viral.

His own image of the Pope was computer generated by “midjourney” software, an artificial intelligence platform that generates images according to a detailed textual description. The picture of the Pope looked so realistic that it managed to gain momentum on the Internet, but unfortunately there is not a single detail in it that is taken from reality.
What we did take from this viral fashion story, the white puffer coat (which is not clear if it is from the flagship brand of puffer coats – Mugler or an imaginary coat from one of the cheaper chains) is going to stay with us for a long time and is definitely not going to disappear next winter.
