The adoption of a prior rejection motion filed by environmentalists prevented the text from being examined, even before the start of the debates. For two weeks, the deputies were called to debate in the hemicycle on the text brought by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, which aims to accelerate the procedures for examining asylum applications, to facilitate the expulsions of foreigners deemed dangerous or to simplify the regularization of undocumented workers in professions in shortage. Nearly 2,600 amendments had been tabled. Ultimately, none will be examined.
