Vassilis Karras, “the special voice that horizontally expressed a large part of Greek society with his songs and identified like no one else with simplicity on the big tracks in the last decades, but also with the overlooked concept of the erotic “capsule””, as much New Left aptly wrote in its announcement, he passed away yesterday at the age of 70.

In addition to the great popular hits he performed, he also wrote some very good songs. Two of his most beautiful ones, “To adiexodos” and “Gela mou”, he gave to Despina Vandi for her debut album “Gela mou” which was released in 1994.

In 2002 he released his album “My songs” with all the pieces he had written for other performers sung by him. From this album we hear “The dead end”, the first performance of which was by the duo Despina Vandi – Yiannis Pariou.
