Juan Carlos Muñoz, Minister of Transport, reported that it was decided to limit the increase in the adult fare on public transport to $10, as decreed by the Panel of Experts this Thursday, while the rates for students and senior citizens, as well as the Maximum Monthly Amount, will not change.
Muñoz explained that this measure will be applied through a decree signed by President Gabriel Boric, adding that “this is a concrete response from the Government to the strong commitment it has with the families living in the country, while safeguarding the financial structure of the system.”
