Trading on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) ended the third working day of the week on Wednesday (April 17) with indices falling. On this day, the rise of the index was observed at the beginning of the trading in both the capital markets, but it turned downward at the end of the day. On this day, the amount of money traded in DSE decreased slightly compared to the previous working day, but increased in CSE. At the same time, the prices of shares of most of the companies participating in the transaction in both the stock exchanges and the unit prices of mutual funds decreased.

According to the market review, on this day the trading of the rising index started. However, the index was in an upward position till 3 hours after the start of trading. Since then the index has come down to a bearish position.
At the end of the day, the main index of DSE, DSEX, was down 10.80 points from the previous day at 5,763 points. The DSE Shariah index fell by 1.64 points to 1,262 points and the DS30 index fell by 5.36 points to 2,077 points.
A total of 395 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, share and unit prices increased in 106 companies, decreased in 222 and remained unchanged in 67.
A total of Tk 482 crore 53 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE today. Shares and units worth Tk 540 crore 23 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX is down 47.54 points at 9897 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 78.58 points to 16 thousand 459 points, Sharia index decreased by 2.20 points to 1 thousand 79 points and CSE30 index increased by 6.39 points to 12 thousand 599 points.
On this day, shares and units of 203 companies were traded in CSE. Among them, share and unit prices of 70 companies increased, 106 companies decreased and 27 companies remained unchanged.
At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 11 crore 86 lakh were traded. Shares and units worth Tk 9 crore 88 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
