India swept the series 3-0 under the leadership of Harmanpreet. It marked India’s first series win in England since 1999.

Harman, the top scorer with 221 runs, also managed to maintain an excellent strike rate of 103.27. He scored an unbeaten 74 in the first ODI and scored an unbeaten 143 in the second match. This is Harman’s highest individual score in ODIs.

Smriti Mandana was the second highest run-getter in the series against England. India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandana was second behind Harman with 181 runs in the match. Smriti scored 181 runs including two fifties.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana is the third player in the list. In the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier held in the UAE, Nigar was the second highest run-getter in the tournament with 180 runs as Bangladesh were crowned champions.

Earlier, Indian all-rounder Axar Patel was included in the shortlist to become the ICC Player of the Year for September. Apart from Aksar, Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green are in the list.

Axer’s short-listed performance was due to his excellent performance in the T20 series against Australia and South Africa.
