The Minister of Industry and Trade, Riad Mazour, said that industrial products account for 86.8 percent of Moroccan exports.

In response to a question by the dynamic team in the Council of Advisors, about the evaluation of the national industrial policy, Mazour indicated that there are 1,600 industrial projects with a financial envelope of 125 billion dirhams, stressing that these investments aim to provide 320,000 jobs in the next three years.

As for the distribution of some of these investments, the minister confirmed that the matter is related to 596 investment projects of interest to small and very small enterprises in order to create 26 thousand jobs, and 817 projects of interest to medium enterprises in order to create 80 thousand direct jobs, recording a great demand for investment in the field of Industry is from the category of youth, as well as national capital, which represents 88 percent of investments in industry.

In this regard, he pointed out that the ministry had exhausted, at the end of last March, the financial cover that was allocated to keep pace with the industrial investment of small and medium enterprises, indicating that the ministry had requested additional funds to keep pace with this dynamism that would create job opportunities.

According to Mazour, 100,000 net jobs have been created in the industrial sector since the beginning of the government mandate until the end of February of this year.
