Kochi: The details of actor Dileep’s fourth mobile phone will be handed over to the Crime Branch High Court. Before the verdict on Dileep’s anticipatory bail application, the probe team is trying to pass on the phone’s International Mobile Equipment Identity Number (IMEI), brand name, model and the company dealer who made the sale.

The probe team has also collected phone call records (CDRs) of Dileep’s use of the phone which he allegedly hid. The probe team has also recorded the statements of 3 people close to Dileep. The Crime Branch is of the view that the probe into the attempted murder case cannot be proceeded on the basis of Balachandra Kumar’s statement alone.

The crime branch investigation team alleges that only three of the four phones used by Dileep were handed over and that a crucial phone was hidden. The hidden phone’s International Mobile Equipment Identity Number (IMEI) has been obtained. There are also indications that the whereabouts of the phone were found.

Actor Dileep will hand over the mobile phones of the first accused in the case of conspiracy to assassinate police officers to the Registrar General of the High Court in a sealed envelope today. The 2 phones that Dileep said were sent for testing in Mumbai will reach Kochi this morning. The High Court had ordered to hand over 6 phones including these before 10.15 am today.

The case alleges that a conspiracy was hatched to endanger the officers who were investigating the case of harassing the actress by giving a citation. The prosecution agreed that the phones used by the first accused Dileep, his brother and second accused P Anoop and his brother’s husband and third accused TN Suraj could only be examined if the investigation was completed.
