Thiruvananthapuram: The intensity of rain is decreasing in the state. The red alert was reduced from ten districts to only three districts. Red alert has been declared in Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts today. Red alert has been withdrawn in seven districts. Meanwhile, orange alert has been announced in eight districts.

Orange alert has been announced in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. Yellow alert is on in Kasaragod, Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts.

Central Meteorological Department informs that in the next 3 hours there is a chance of moderate rain at isolated places in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kannur districts and light rain at isolated places in other districts.

At the same time, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that fake messages are also being circulated in the state regarding rains and the government will take strict action against those who are spreading such fake messages.
