On August 3, an extended board meeting was held at the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan to discuss the results of the first half of 2024.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported this to Day.Az.
The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Gasanov, was held via video link and was attended by deputy ministers, commanders of branches of the armed forces, heads of main departments, departments, services and independent departments of the ministry, commanders of military formations and units, as well as heads of special military educational institutions.
Deputy Minister of Defense – Commander of the Ground Forces Lieutenant General Hikmet Mirzayev reported on measures to increase the combat capability of units and the organization of troop service.
It was reported that the intensity of training and exercises using modern weapons and equipment has increased, combat duty is being organized at a high level, and other combat operations in the units are taking place.
