Delhi: After the All India Football Federation, the Olympic Association is also threatened with a ban. The International Olympic Committee has directed the Indian Olympic Association to resolve the administrative crisis in the Indian Olympic Association immediately. The proposal is to complete the election before the IOC executive meeting in December this year.

The International Olympic Committee has warned the Indian Olympic Association that this is the final warning and that if the issue is not resolved by December, it will face a ban. Narinder Batra, who has been the president of the Hockey Association and IOC for a long time, has resigned following a court order, and there is a management crisis in the Indian Olympic Association. If the crisis is not resolved, Indian players will not be able to participate in international matches. FIFA had earlier banned India as the Supreme Court-appointed committee took over the administration.

It has also been decided to postpone the IOC executive meeting scheduled to be held in Mumbai in May next year to September/October. The Indian Olympic Association was banned by the International Olympic Committee in 2012 due to election irregularities. After this, India returned with the 2014 Sochi Winter Games. The Indian Olympic Association needs to fully resolve governance crises before the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
