A video of her Anna Maria Vellis in the TikTok has been viral the last days. In this video, she appears to answer a follower’s question about a rumor that the man who abused her, as she has confessed in the past, is dating a well-known YouTuber. In general, Ms. Velli confirms the rumor and in the comments, TikTok users started the “gossip”. The comment section was filled with questions like “who is he talking about?”, “who is he?”, “him Ari Makri says;”.
Yes, his name singer Ari Makri played a lot in the comments of the viral video with users convinced that he is the abuser of Anna-Maria Vellis and that she herself has not taken care to erase the name that is written in the screenshot question in the video.

Aris Makris himself, after that, wanted to clarify about the abuse in which he sees his name involved, due to the romantic relationship he had with the YouTuber in the past. Makris published a long post on his Instagram account, trying to clarify what has happened, categorically emphasizing that he is not “the abuser of Anna Maria Vellis” and claiming that everything that is written and said about him is aimed at publicity.
“Over the past few years, many people have associated my name with an unpleasant news story because someone, intentionally or not, has implied that I have behaved in an abusive manner. This has resulted in me receiving abusive messages from people who believe that this claim is true, having a problem in my work and ultimately myself, being mentally burdened by something I would never dare to think about, let alone do. For years now I have refused to take a stand because I did not want to continue a rumor that initially did not name me, therefore did not accuse me directly and which ultimately did not touch me, since it is not consistent with reality”, he initially wrote.
“To be clear, even today I am not sure that this specific charge applies to me. Nevertheless, the ghosts of it reached me and the people I love and who love me, without being able to remain uninvolved anymore”, he added.
“I suggest, and I do not exclude myself from this, that we examine what we hear, because unfortunately sacred and important values are lost and the voices that need to be heard are weakened. Values that, I believe, we should not bring to our own standards, but to rise with effort and truth to theirs”.

Meanwhile, from the comments, it becomes clear that there are probably not many who believe Aris Makris and what he says. “Bye Aroulis, it doesn’t matter my boy”, writes someone. “I had my doubts if it was you, but the end of the text says it all. Typical example of a toxic abuser,” another.

Well done Ari”, writes one user. “My dear Mars, you have all the rights in the world and good on you for taking a stand, it is very stupid to have divorced and for no reason for the other person to say that there was abusive behavior because he smoked like that. Those of us who have known you for years, if not personally, in general, what kind of character do you have”, comments another.
What Anna Maria Velli had stated about her abuse in 2022
In December 2022, posting images of herself with bruises on her face, Anna Maria Velli described an abusive and violent relationship she had in the past. During a Ted Talk, the YouTuber had talked about an ex-partner who physically abused her.
More specifically, he had shared:
“During our relationship we decided to stay together. Before that was done, I decided to pay off some other debts for him, as he had left five months of rent, utilities and bills unpaid, and I was happy to do so, because I wanted to help him. He had told me that when things were better, he would return them to me. He has not returned this money to me to this day.
[…] After we stayed together, he started looking for my cell phone and seeing messages from my old relationship, when I replied ‘my past is none of your business’, that’s when I got my first slap”.
