Judge Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Federal Supreme Court), testified in a decision that opened the procedures to investigate the case of messages between his assistants in court and in the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) investigate the possible criminal origin of the leak. and mentions the São Paulo City Police.

The decision was signed this Wednesday (21) and also authorized the protection of his former TSE assistant, Eduardo Tagliaferro, access to the investigation files. The Minister allowed the Federal Police to submit copies of the evidence already documented in the investigation.

The investigation was opened under summary secrecy, after Arrival revealed that the justice minister at the Supreme Court ordered through messages and the production of unauthorized reports by the TSE to support the decisions by Moraes himself against the Bolsonaristas in the investigation of fake news in court in 2022.

As part of the investigation, the Federal Police called Eduardo Tagliaferro, former head of the AEED (Special Advisory Unit to Combat Disinformation) of the TSE, to testify this Thursday in São Paulo. In the office, Moraes said that the investigation deals with the “possible criminal origin of the communications on the WhatsApp application between officials assigned to the Supreme Federal Court and the Supreme Electoral Court.”
