Today, Tuesday, Chairman of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makkiya, stressed the work to achieve economic integration in order to maximize financial resources and diversify investment projects.
A statement by the Authority, received by the (INA), stated that “The Chairman of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makiya, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iraq, Nasir Mammadov, and they discussed developing cooperation and investment and economic relations between the two countries.”
He explained, “The meeting discussed the nature of bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and Baku, strengthening economic relations and activating investment transactions in large projects specialized in energy, oil and gas.”
The Chairman of the Authority confirmed that “Iraq has many investment opportunities, which provide positive indicators for investors,” noting that “the Authority is working to achieve economic integration in order to maximize financial resources and diversify investment projects.”
For his part, the Azerbaijani ambassador expressed “his country’s desire to consolidate cooperation with Iraq, especially in the field of investments specialized in the production of building materials, the agricultural sector, energy, and participation in the development road project.”
