The meeting was opened by Eyal Baruch, CEO of the South Port Company, who reviewed the construction process of the port and the advanced infrastructures that were established to support the extensive logistics activity in the port.

Baruch referred to the work processes in export and import, the interface with the various players along the chain such as shipping companies, land carriers, government and regulatory bodies and more. Special emphasis is given to the special preparation for handling pharmaceutical shipments and the processes related to temperature-controlled shipments, starting from the electricity connection infrastructure to receiving real-time data and continuous monitoring of the containers.

In the second part of the meeting, a guided tour of the operational area of ​​the port was held, which included a visit to the control room, close observation of the loading and unloading processes and familiarization with the advanced equipment of the port. In addition, the participants will be given an explanation of the many technological means that help to control and monitor the current activity.
