/ The Iraqi Basketball Federation announced, on Sunday, the date for stopping the Premier League, which will be the 23rd of next February.

The second vice president of the federation, Khaled Najm, told Agency, “The Saudi Premier League will stop due to the national team’s association with the Asian qualifiers scheduled to start on the 23rd of next month, in a home-and-away system.”

He added, “The Iraqi national team will face its Saudi counterpart at the beginning of its campaign on the 23rd of next month in the closed People’s Hall for Sports Games in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.”

He pointed out that “the team’s second match against the Palestinian team will be held on February 26 also in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which is the supposed home ground for the Palestinian team,” noting that “the qualifiers are considered a qualifier for the Asian finals that qualify for the World Cup.”
