/ The Central Bank of Iraq’s total sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the past week amounted to more than one billion dollars.

Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week, and for the five days in which the auction was opened, one billion and 273 million and 178 thousand and 100 dollars, at a daily rate of 254 million and 635 thousand and 620 dollars, higher than what it recorded last week, which It amounted to one billion and 259 million and 432 thousand and 212 dollars.

The highest dollar sales were on Wednesday, when sales amounted to 256 million, 413 thousand and 14 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Tuesday, when sales amounted to 250 million, 17 thousand and 41 dollars.

While external remittance sales during the past week amounted to one billion, 196 million, 338 thousand and 100 dollars, an increase of 94% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 76 million and 840 thousand dollars.

The sales were in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards reached 1,305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of transfers abroad and the cash sale price reached 1,310 dinars per dollar.
