/ The Iraqi Football Association set, on Wednesday, the start and end dates for winter player transfers for the 2023-2024 season.

Member of the Professional League Competitions Committee, Shihab Ahmed, told Shafak News Agency, “The date for winter transfers and contracts for the Iraqi Professional League clubs begins on the 5th of this month, and any club wishing to contract with players has the right to do so starting from the scheduled day.”

He pointed out that a full month has been set for winter transfers, and that the transfer window will close after February 5.

He added, “A player who is officially contracted with the support of the Federation, whether local or professional, has the right to represent his new club after the contract.”

It is noteworthy that the Football Association allowed the Iraqi Stars Clubs to register 4 foreign professional players under the international classification of the national teams from the sequence 90 and below, and two players from the sequence 91 and above.
