/ The Iraqi Olympic football team left on Friday for the United Arab Emirates to enter a training camp during which it will play three friendly matches against the national teams of Egypt, Ghana and the Emirates, preceded by a friendly match against an Emirati club.

The Iraqi Football Association stated in a statement received by Agency that the Iraqi national team will meet the three teams in preparation for the AFC U-23 Championship, as matches with strong teams will be important at this time, especially since all players gather at this time after the international break.

The draw for the AFC U-23 Championship placed the Iraqi Olympic team in Group 3, alongside Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Tajikistan.
