/ The Iraqi Olympic football team defeated the Togo Olympic team 2-3 in a friendly match in preparation for the upcoming Asian Championship today, Saturday.
The first half ended with the Iraqi team leading by one goal to none in the 36th minute through Karrar Ali. In the second half, the Iraqi Olympic team added two goals through Hussein Abdullah Lawandi in the 68th minute and the 90+4th minute.
The draw for the AFC U-23 Championship placed Iraq in Group 3 alongside Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Tajikistan.
The tournament will start in April next year in Qatar, and according to the tournament system, the top three teams will qualify directly for the 2024 Paris Olympics, while the fourth place team will play in the play-off.
