The Irish website, The Irish Times, revealed the Irish government’s plans to send a navy ship to Libya as part of Operation Irini.

And the site quoted the Irish Minister of Defense, Michael Martin, that he is seeking approval to deploy one naval service patrol vessel in Operation Irini for a period of 46 days during the months of June and July this year.

He added that the ship will be stationed in the area of ​​operations for 34 days, pointing out that it will be the first overseas deployment of an Irish Navy ship since 2018.

According to the site, the Irish ship will help enforce the United Nations arms embargo on Libya, which was imposed in 2020.
